I also hope that it can do this with DAC Correction enabled.
I know many DACs don’t support 48K DSD so that is not required but DSD512 is what I am curious about. The M1 Mac mini can handle the above but only at DSD256…
I don’t have an M6 to test with yet… So it is rather difficult to estimate what it can do.
But I would recommend using the newer generation modulators, as their code has better optimizations and thus consume less CPU power for better quality. I would recommend to try out ASDM7EC-fast, which is the current default modulator.
My base model Mac Mini M4 can do DSD512 with default settings and without DAC correction.
