In July 2025 I switched from a MacBook Air to a Nucleus One as my Roon Server. Worked okay. A few weeks ago we had a short power outage. Now when I close the MacBook Air, Roon closes. My iPad and iMac 24 show Nucleus One as my server. My MacBook Air shows "this Mac" as my server.
You may simply need to go into Roon - Settings- General on your MacBook Air and Disconnect it as your Roon Server and Connect your Nucleus One. If you have only one subscription, and I assume you do, you will need to authorize the Nucleus and unauthorize the MacBook Air.
I disconnected Roon Server “This Mac.” No luck. Connect to your Roon Server does not show Nucleus One. Searching for Roon OS Server came up zero. But the Storage Folder shows Nucleus One as the path.
Roon on my iMac and Roon on my MacBook Air are working in unison. When I start playing a song on one the other starts up with that song and if I stop it the second it stops the first.
You’re probably running Roon server on one and Roon client on the other. That’s how it works. Go to Roon - Settings - General and you will see which server you are connected to. Actually, you’re probably running Roon server on one and Roon client on both or Roon server and Roon client on both. That’s OK.
I’m not sure why you’re not seeing the Roon Nucleus. Hopefully, the power outage did not fry your Nucleus.
