MacBook Pro and Arc

Hello, I have just purchased a MacBook Pro and was hoping to use Roon Arc, but there does not appear to an app that I can download - it would seem that the apps are limited to iPad’s and iPhones.

My Roon core runs on a Mac M1.

Any chance there is a solution on the way so that I can use the MacBook Pro as I would an iPad?

Roon Arc is just for mobile offerings so think phones or small travel size tablets(although they use the phone-based Arc app as well)

Thx - indeed I use it on my iphone. I don’t have an ipad so I was hoping to use Arc on my Macbook Pro …

Roon ARC for Desktop / Laptop (Windows, Mac, Linux)

Roon ARC should have a desktop version so it can be used on Windows, Mac, Linux while out of home. This connectivity is achievable with a tool such as ZeroTier, but a ‘native’ solution would be much easier for all. I’ve read in other posts that this is not on the roadmap, can Roon provide their reasoning behind that decision?

I don’t think you’ll get a good experience with that either. ARC is meant for phone use outside the home connecting back via Cellular.

If you are familiar with networking, you can setup a VPN to your home and use the regular Roon desktop app.
