When I started with Roon, I manually added several German radio stations that were not in the existing catalog. The used URLs were taken from the official website (“Entdeckt eure Lieblingsmusik in unserer Streamingwelt - radio ffn”, scroll down to ‘Die Stream Adressen für eigene Player oder WLAN Radios’). This was working for a while.
Although the URLs remain unchanged, I’ve recently noticed that Roon fails to play the stations, displaying the ‘Playback was interrupted because a track failed to load.’ error.
When entering one of the URLs (“https://player.ffn.de/radioffn.mp3”) in a browser, I noticed that it gets redirected to another one (“https://ffn.stream41.radiohost.de/ffn_mp3-192”). Roon does not accept the primary one, but it does take the one it redirects to.
I could maintain each station with the redirect URL, but this might be a temporary workaround, as I suspect that the ‘… streamXX …’ are possibly used for load balancing and might be taken out of service at any time.
Could this issue be corrected? Is there anything I can do on my end to make this work with the main URLs?
