That’s interesting as I was listening to Agnes Obel last night and it really got in the way.
But I did listen to Metal later but I had already switched by then. I will test some more in that case.

I find filtering can become a bit OCD and sends me down the rabbit hole.
Tend to leave mine on fast roll off minimum phase and be done with it.
Have followed a few threads on the topic on other forums and all of them descend into a technical pi$$ing contest by page 2 (if not post nr 2).
Am always open to suggestions though if somebody else has progressed beyond Elmer Fudd.

Ordered a Pro model from Shenzhen Audio yesterday and will arrive on Wed. via DHL. Faster I think than if I had ordered one (at the new more expensive price) from a domestic dealer on the east coast (I’m in Seattle).
Has anyone compared streaming Roon natively to the Mini vs with a dedicated streamer via USB? I have a microRendu 1.4 currently just doing Bridge duty to my older Naim Unitiqute (that the mini will hopefully be replacing if it’s better/as good) but would love to sell it on. I will compare myself of course once the unit arrives.

I have tried both alternetives and there are no differences in sound quality. The Roon ready input is great, no extra boxes needed and it works without hassle. Now I enjoy my music instead of worrying about stability issues that came with my RPI setup and my previous Primare NP5 streamer.

ummm are you all seeing this message at the bottom of the thread? What’s up with that? (Sometimes i’ve seen that a topic will close “a year” after the last reply, but this seems a bit dramatic.)
I am considering getting a Mini-i Pro 3.
How is the user experience so far? Does it feel buggy or laggy? Are there pops and crackles when switching sampling rates?
Looking through this thread, it seems the display has some issues with multibyte characters. This worries me a little because half of my library is international (Russian, Japanese, French, etc).
Steve it’s all automatic.
Just update it to the latest firmware and then Roon will find it.
Then in Roon go to Settings->Audio and enable it.
That’s it all settings are automatically ready to go.

Arrived today. Small, rather heavy so it seems sturdy. Very nice. Just plugged in, updated firmware and now it plays Roon very well. No CR2032 coin cell battery, no real problem. Much nicer in the bedroom now, fewer cables and machines. Ordered 29th jan, arrived 10th feb.

Enjoy Stefan, no battery is because some airlines don’t allow them on board.
I was also wondering about this, however it was stated in the Matrix manual.
