Use the Fing app on your iPad or iPhone to find all devices on your network.
Or start ControlPC on your pc. This will display the IP address of your MC200.
Thanks. I downloaded the Fing app but it doesn’t find anything on my network apart from my iPhone. Maybe I’m using it wrong? Control Mac used to be my backstop when I lost the connection but that no longer works because it’s a 32 bit program - Apple only supports 64 bit. Any other ideas?
My MC200 was connected to an Apple AirPort Extreme which then connected to my router - this created a local network. I tried bypassing the Airport and connecting the MC200 directly to a port on the router but this doesn’t appear when I log into the router. It just says Connection Status DISCONNECTED.
Are you sure your iPhone was on the same network as the rest of your gear? Maybe you were still using a mobile (4G) connection?
Do you still have the Sooloos app on an iPad? Using this, you can at least be sure the MC200 is working properly.
All rather confusing . . . I switched everything off, disconnected all cables, removed the Apple AirPort Extreme from the local network, reconnected all cables through the router (no Airport) then rebooted the router and everything now works.
Still don’t know why it wasn’t working before, but as The Bard would say, ‘All’s Well That Ends Well’.
Thank you for your help, your time and your patience!
