Describe the issue

Hi Roon Support,

I’m having issues with metadata not updating. My Roon Core cannot access `https://metadata.roonlabs.net/` – it returns HTTP 403 when tested via curl.

I'm using a static IP assigned by my ISP: `**********`

Could you please check if my IP address has been blacklisted or flagged by your servers, and help restore proper access?

Thanks in advance 🙏
Shahar

Hey @Shahar_Bar,

Thanks for taking the time to write in and share your report!

If you could, please provide a bit more detail around your network setup, and how your server is connected to your primary router. It would be good to verify there are no firewalls blocking Roons connection - if you can double check this within your router settings as well, that would be helpful!

Rebooting both your server and router may be helpful here as well.

We’ll be monitoring for your reply, thank you! :+1:

Hey [Support Team / @staff],

Thanks for the quick response!

Turns out the issue was related to a dual-network interface setup on my NAS – I had both eth0 and eth1 connected to the router, which apparently confused Roon’s discovery (especially with multicast/mDNS). Once I disabled the second NIC and kept only a single connection active, everything started working smoothly.

Additionally, I ensured IPv6 was fully disabled on both the NAS and the router, to avoid any mixed-protocol issues ahead of the upcoming changes you announced.

ARC and Roon Remote are both stable now – no more disconnects.
Thanks again and feel free to close this ticket :+1:

Best,
Shahar
