Thank you for good opinion, I was wondering that you might not like that based on your tech death favourites. For me Burial in the Sky works and I think they are not that much tech death like others that was discussed here.
I can’t wait! Certainly one of my favorite bands. I purposely don’t listen to new tracks long before the album is released. I want to experience the album as a whole.
Note to self - make sure your Hugo 2 is turned down after editing low volume audio before you start playing Obscura…
Solaris is pretty good. And Obscura will destroy my bank account one day, because I keep thinking ‘I need a 7 string fretless in my Warwick collection, right?’ every time I listen to JPT
I’ve been meaning to give the Voivod discography a proper listen for years. I’m a big fan of the frankly, bat-poop crazy Nothingface so decided to take the time-tunnel back to Dimension Hatröss.
It’s worth the trip, space cadets.
what do you think of this Album from the early years?
That’s the album where they got really really good imho.
Previous was ok but this was their turning point IMHO
Plex is back up and running, and now it’s getting it’s first video airing. The REL sub is certainly getting a good workout
Megadeth was very big for me in the 90s and Rust In Peace album will always be one of the best metal albums for me. So it is nice to hear good stories from Dave, this is a long interview/documentary (and maybe only for fans of Megadeth) but still very nice to listen what he has to say.
Excellent choice for first video, hopefully new Swallow The Sun album is as good as we hope. Couple weeks and new track will be released from the new album.
What REL sub model?
Yes I am hopeful for the new album as well, though I generally prefer to wait for an album to drop so I can sit and listen to it in one sitting.
I have the Rel 5 on my AV system, I could not believe the weight of it when I bought it.
That is one end of the room and I have a Dali ES-9 on my 2 channel setup to go with my Oberon 5 floor standers.
To be fair the Rel is a bit of a beast. Music for this concert is only 2 channel but I am listening to uncompressed MKV and it sounds great
Same for me, I only check parts of singles/videos and prefer to wait for whole album. I basically always listen albums and not playlists or tracks, only times I use playlists is when I create one from a concert I have been. That is good way to live again that moment!
Thanks for sharing that Anilah EP and her music in general, really enjoying it
I had the Sacrifice album already in my library but none of the others.
Bought some on Bandcamp and added the new album to my wishlist for when it is released.
Exactly what I do .
Hi, @AceRimmer, I could not agree more, how do you like Symphonic Metal like Nightwish, Within Temptation & Lacuna Coil for instance?
If you check any of my posting history in this thread you will see I favor European symphonic metal a LOT, especially with female vocals!
Too many to recall tbh but a few would be Nightwish, Delain, After Forever, Sirenia, Beyond the Black, Amberian Dawn, etc.
There is a diverse metal genre posting in this thread. Lots of enjoyment of Symphonic metal, Neo folk black and Death metal and lighter metal as well.
It’s all welcome here Carsten so please post away.
Also I don’t have to out Kevin as he has outed himself
I see there is a new Megadeth album out on Qobuz today, Unplugged in Boston 2001.
So not really new new…lol.
Will be getting a spin later tonight.
Great shout just added it now
