Describe the issue

New to roon: For the moment my iMac runs the roon server. Connected is an external USB 2TB spinning disk that holds all my cd-rips. The iMac is in my office, I would like to migrate my library to a new server downstairs in my living room, a Mac Studio will be running roon then. Question is: will roon need time to scan the disk again and what happens to playlists? Would I have to recreate them ?

Describe your network setup

I have a wireless router that is extended through powerline add-ons. I find this setup lacking as my roonserver can oftentimes not be found by other devices in the house. On the same network. I don't see this as an issue for this instant. There is one place where roon should absolutely function and that is the aforementioned new server setup on the Mac Studio
