i just switched from running Roon server on a qnap to a nucleus. The QNAP IS also where all my music files are stored. My original Sooloos files were exported to the QNAP last year. Roon worked fine.
During the year that i used the QNAP to run ROON SERVER I occasionally ripped a CD to my MUSIC FOR ROON folder on the QNAP or copied and pasted a hi rez file into the same folder from my pc. Everything worked fine.
Today when I switched over to the Nucleus all of the files i had ripped to the QNAP or pasted into MUSIC FOR ROON stopped showing up in Roon. All the files in questions are the complete CD with no edits.
Everything else is OK…my old Sooloos music files are playing OK- which is 99% of my ripped CD collection. Tidal is OK. Playlists are OK. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
Thanks for contacting support, I’d be happy to take a look over this issue with you. Your edits are missing possibly because you had Roon open at the time of the migration, it is best practice to avoid Roon seeing two copies of the same file when importing media. You will also need to restore from a backup of your original database to preserve the edits you created on the QNAP as that information is stored in the database.
