Describe the issue

So I'm setting up a new Nuc with Rock. All has gone well but it's missing codecs. I've found the help page with the links to the codecs but there quite a few of them. How so I know which one(s) I need to download? I'm using an Intel NUC NUC7i5BNH

Describe your network setup

Rock connected to network via ethernet

Please read the Help page (carefully) - it gives you the link to the compressed file that you download.

That’s the exact page I was on and followed the link it gives to the codecs. Do I need them all or just a specific one based on the model of Nuc I’m using?

As I said - read the help page carefully, e.g.:

  1. For example, grab https://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/builds/ffmpeg-git-amd64-static.tar.xz and uncompress it. Remember, no additional files from that package are required, only ffmpeg. You will need to uncompress the file twice.

I wasn’t clear about that. So I just need to download any ONE of the link and extract the ffmpeg in that one folder to upload it to the Rock?

No, you need to use the download link already provided for you, as quoted in Geoff’s 2nd response to you.

Click on that and you will download the file. Then unzip it twice to get to only the ffmpeg file. That one little file is what you copy to the Codec folder on the RoonServer.
