A while back the little circle that appeared when you started scrolling through albums or tracks in ARC went away. It would have either letters or years in the center of it, depending on what you were sorting by, denoting where you were in terms of whatever list you were scrolling through.
Is there a reason this was removed? I had assumed it was a glitch and would re-appear in the future but it seems like it’s been several months, if not more, without this extremely helpful feature.
Now scrolling through my album list in ARC to find ‘2017’ or ‘T’ for example, takes a lot longer and I get annoyed every time because it used to be easier.
I’m not crazy right, this used to be a thing? Am I the only who misses it?
That is what I was referring to, but it doesn’t show up for me when Sorting by any of the options, whether I use the scroll little scroll tab or not. I’m also unsure if that used to be a prerequisite for it to appear, but I’d lean towards not, though it’s been so long for me that I can’t say for certain.
If we could post videos on here I would show a screen recording as proof.
I don’t know if I should feel better or worse that it might just be me that’s missing it now. I also have no idea how to rectify it. I’ve already deleted and re-installed the app and the issue persists.
I’m quite sure that - at least for me - it only ever appeared with the scroll thumb, both in ARC and in the Roon app. Is it gone for you in the Roon app, too?
Maybe it really is broken in 369 and will come back for you in 371 or later. (Or you could try Early Access).
The best option is surely to open a support ticket by clicking here → Support and then Get Help. Let Roon staff take a look (they don’t monitor the Roon Software Discussion forum category). They will also give you a link to upload a video.
