Moving from track to track can take up to 20 second

Dear community, I hope you can help me understand what is going on with my Roon NUC system

my setup.
QNAP NAS that holds my personal music. ( 2871 albums , 53018 tracks )
Intel NUC I5 2.9GHz 128GB m2.SSD and 16GB RAM, running Roon Rock
Server Software Version 2.0 (build 1299)
OS Version 1.0 (build 258) production
Audio playback device is an Mac Mini M2 pro with 16 GB of RAM
wired Ethernet connection between devices in-home 1Gb
internet connection to the outside world 1Gb symmetrical

Case :

I simply wanted to create a new playlist created from songs that are stored on my NAS this resides in my home
I use the my libary album screen as starting point to present me my albums.
So no search or what so ever, I just scroll down
I pick an album, pick a song, listen to it and add it to my playlist Y/N
Return to the main album screen and scroll further down.

To me that is basic functionality of Roon. Nothing heavy weight

But after an hour Roons start to fail on me.
Out of the blue it’s taking Roon 20 seconds to start the track I want to listen to.
It’s like roon has no clue anymore where that track resides on my nas ?
Even when moving back to a track I listened to 10 minutes ago. Roon is not able to play that track on the fly. it takes also for that track something like 20 seconds ( or perhaps even more)

I first thought that it had to be my NAS ( to busy) , but the nas is fine.
when I do a hardware reboot of my NUC ( removing the power from the NUC and power it back on ) I’m back to normal… for an hour or so.
Then the same thing is happening again
Any thoughts ?

Thanks Hans

can it be that with the recent update :

OS Version 1.0 (build 259)
Server software Version 2.0 (build 1303)

you also attacked the problem I described ?
I have the impression that with this update moving from track to track has become a little bit slower, but the good news is that the problem I described seems to be gone. Fingers crossed.
