My Roon server (Mac Mini) is accessing the music folder stored in a thunderbolt HD connected to a Mac Pro. The access is through a local campus network (/Volumes/Diskname/…). When I first started, I just thought that the server must be attached to the main system. Now I realize that I didn’t have to do that, and I want to move the Roon server to Mac Pro, and use the Mac Mini as a remote client.
How can I achieve this without affecting the metadata? Can it be done smoothly with the new Build 94? Do I just need to copy the contents in Library/Roon or is there any caution to be taken?
