Thanks Peter for the information. In fact most of those private companies are backed up by an investment arm like Reinet. Since those are not public companies we have no detailea about the percentages. So, this pure EU investment on MQA. So, I guess Reinet is looking to spread MQA and then sell their share to Amazon or Google for some billions.
In my opinion, MQA is not going in the direction of winning. They need some billions to pay many DAC manufacturers to include MQA which is hard.
As we speak about sound quality, some see it as some billions. By the way, who owns Muse?

Or would your house then be in the back yard of your sound system? That’s a pretty imposing tower…
I have 1 1/2 acres of land so i could handle it. I currently have about 16 speakers and a couple of subwoofers (200 lbs i think) outside that can be heard a long way away. I cant crank it unless the neighbors arent around. Unfortunately many are working from home right now so i cant turn the volume up.
My son in law got me a plaque that says" My neighbors are listening to great music whether they like it or not" for Christmas. LOL.

That is awesome fella, I’m living on a smaller scale. With this parked next to my house, living in the sound system would be the logical conclusion.
That sounds an amazing outside experience, but your speaker stack would fill my garden

Hi, don’t worry I still have arguments.
I had my immune therapy beginning this week (due to pleural cancer… my second and maybe my last year …) and I can’t predict how I feel the first days. I was laying down for two days.
Okay back to business.
I noticed quite some activity here and I noticed the graphs of mansr are removed.
And I understand why : So apparently mansr posted wrong graphs.
I didn’t read that thread to the end - I would have found out if I did and then I wouldn’t have asked here if that fog was normal… I would have known. I was already indicating I would understand it the smoke was there prior to decoding, and that I didn’t understand it was still there when the decoding was supposed to be done.
So do I have to apologize (you asked for that)? No. I didn’t make the mistake. Mansr did. And since a certain “Miska” seemed to confirm the results, I didn’t read that thread till the end. If I have to apologize for that, then I can start apologizing for everything I look up on google (“sorry guys I didn’t check hit number 10257 or I would have found out the 10256 above were wrong”).
I hereby just confirm the graph by mansr was wrong. And that will be it.
The graph that is removed however, is a very good example what happens
if you don’t have software decoding MQA where you have to pay for (like Roon)
and if you don’t have hardware decoding MQA (where you also have to pay for).
This means the fog will be there… if you don’t pay for MQA.

So MQA creates a fog, and if you wan’t to get rid of it, you pay for it (sw and/or hw)
A fog that’s not there in the original PCM flac where you don’t have to pay extra.
I’m afraid you do. This nonsense of posting things people happen to find on the Internet as if they’re facts, without attribution, has gotten out of hand. If you find something like that, post it with a link for context, for Heaven’s sake!
