Multiple copies of album on desktop, but not iPad

Quite a few of my albums show up twice and 3 times in my library. is there a way to simply delete the copies?
Using my Ipad it only shows one copy.

Hi Ken,

In Settings > General > Show Hidden Tracks and Albums, is it set to No on the iPad and Yes on the other Remote?
