Multiple local audio outputs

This is mostly a feature request for Jussi, I’m a happy HQPlayer 6 Desktop user, the only thing I feel it’s missing is having more than one output locally, i. e. what the Combo option offers but without networking.

Sometimes I have two DACs I want to output with different supported rates, so using a driver for this is not a good solution, I’m well aware this would demand a lot from the PC if you’re upsampling with high settings, but I have a 4090 so that’s not an issue for me.

The biggest scenarios for this are:

  • A/B testing DACs
  • Having a listening session with someone else
  • Using a visualizer like Milkdrop that only captures PCM

The Combo interface doesn’t allow different output formats/rates for each output device either. Doing that would require two HQPlayer engines running in parallel. And doing that in a way that playback stays in sync between the two is rather challenging.

This is best done with config profiles.

Combo interface already provides good support for this case.

I think this is rather low priority thing and maybe not worth involved developments costs somewhere around 100k€ ballpark.
