Continuing the discussion from Is there any interest in a music files backup solution?:
I’m new to Roon and would be interested in a cloud backup. I have about 1.2tb on a 2 tb Nucleus. Right now I have no back. Im thinking of buying an external 2tb drive. Wiuld this be satisfactory?
Not sure that I follow…an external 2TB drive would be fine for local music backups, but I don’t see how it would satisfy interest in cloud backup.
I would use an external ssd or a cloud backup.
I recommend Amazon Glacier. Cheap to store, but slight more expensive to recover.
Normally, one wouldn’t need to recover, so that expense can be overlooked.
Down side, there is a learning curve and only a few software packages support it.
