Description of Issue

Does it matter what device I play my music from (iPhone - iPad) as it streams from my iMac based Roon server?

No because the iPad or iPhone is just a remote control and not at all involved in the streaming. All streaming goes from Core to endpoint. I.e., iPhone or iPad are not even a source device

Curious, do you use the Phantoms as the Roon Endpoint or the Wiim Pro?

Yes I do. They are great speakers. Someday (someday) WiiM will be Roon ready.

I got the Wiim Mini. Think that off the roadmap for Roon. The Pro will be a good option during the RPi shortages.

They claim they are going to offer software flash options to users of the Mini (Option A - get Roon Option B Get XYZ) but I will believe that when I see it.

I got the Pro and like it every much.
