Description of Issue

I use my MacBook to run Roon and I listen through headphones. My Mid 2015 MacBook is an I7 2.5 quad core with 16GB of DDR3 Ram and a Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB of memory. My OS is BigSur 11.6.6. Temperatures immediately peak when I open Roon to over 90C and the fans ramp up to 5000rpm or more. The Activity Monitor indicates 200% CPU use. Shutting down Roon immediately reverses the temperature level, fan speed and CPU usage.

Is my Mid 2015 Mac Book pro insufficiently powerful to run Roon?

These high CPU loads is also what I see since 952.

Is your library still analyzing? Try setting to throttled in roon settings library

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought it was on Throttled but it was on 2 core. I reset to throttled and the problem ended.
