Mytek Service Sucks

Maybe the Mytek “office” is in a mixed use building or even a residential building, or even just a mailing address in a residential building. Small businesses do all sorts of things to save money. I don’t actually know. I’m just trying to come up with something that makes senses. :man_shrugging:t5:

It is a $3.5M private home of 5450 sq ft with 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms built in 1960. Also known as a mansion. I was told it’s the tech’s home. It’s in a residential neighborhood, certainly not zoned for commercial. Oh, and there’s a tennis court in back.

Then that makes sense why FedEx would try to deliver on the weekend. I suspected that it wasn’t a commercial address. I can’t imagine that FedEx would attempt such a delivery if it were commercial unless they had a preset arrangement to do so.

Correct. Also, for a “small business” the have an industry known presence on at least two continents and self described thousands of customers. They’re not exactly a niche bespoke outfit.

It looks like there is a pattern of bad customer-related behavior:

Oh no, I assure you, just ask @Michal_Jurewicz1. I’m the lone turd in the punch bowl. They tried to help me, but I just can’t be satisfied. All these other negative commentators must be likewise enemies of Mytek bent on its destruction for no reason.

Doesn’t even seem believable, does it?

To be honest I read this as the story is about Mytek gaslighting the customer - and without any shame.

The other thread about Brooklyn Bridge II could be multiple threads of angry customers wanting to get their money back.

John, here’s a thread from several years ago. I think it illustrates my anger and experience with Mytek as well. Just like you, I was MORE FRUSTRATED than a one-legged cat trying to bury a turd on a frozen lake!

I’m including this because I think it provides additional long-standing evidence that Mytek’s service and general business practices have been deplorable for quite a long time.

But luckily, we’ve got this forum. Like you, I put in A LOT of time and effort calling, emailing, reading, and writing commentary, but it turned out that this was the best catalyst for eliciting a meaningful response and action. This community seems to carry some weight with Mytek/Michal. So don’t give up. Keep voicing your concerns. And with Michal involved, you should expect more meaningless, out-of-bounds, explanations and excuses. But keep calling them out on their ■■. It’s maddening I know, but we can’t give up until he make things right.

Again … THANKS TO THIS COMMUNITY, we have a voice with manufacturers. And although I had to learn the hard way with Mytek, I found a new way to avoid more bad experiences in the future. Now I known why, how, and where to do REAL research outside of the audio reviews and listening experiences.

Making a good-sounding product is only half the battle. The other half is making sure you genuinely support the products and the users. If you do that, they users will happily sing your praises. If you don’t, the community will let you know about it.

I’m very sorry to see you’re one of those unfortunate enough to be in the BBII shenanigans.

Be incredibly wary of any equipment you get from anyone who doesn’t like you. Electronics sabotage is a thing, and you should verify any gear from a questionable source before hooking it up to your system.

I had a similar experience with Mytek’s product support a few years ago. Their support was truly terrible.

Waiting for @Michal_Jurewicz1 to announce that everyone in this thread is trolling and Mytek has never scammed anyone out of their money.

@Vinit_Desai1 how’s your situation?

Out of the blue, after my repeated emails and texts, Mytek support emailed me yesterday to ask if I was attending Munich Hifi; logistically, I cannot. It seems that they don’t want to deal with foreign taxes and customs. I asked if a refund is the best option. Let’s see.

@Michal_Jurewicz1 I don’t know where this is going, but you will probably keep blaming customers.

@JohnSherlockHolmes I’m sorry things didn’t work out for you. That’s a bummer. That’s also a lot of money to spend to take what I would assume to be a big loss on financially. What did you decide to replace it with?

I haven’t. It’s been vinyl only from that system. I’m debating going R2R, but I’m not sure. It’s an inopportune time to purchase new due to tariff driven price increases. I’m also not at a time where I want to come out of pocket for much more than I can turn the Brooklyn for. Thoughts?

No updates. No refunds. Waiting.

Maybe you should start a new thread as it looks like this is the only time Mytek engages with customers…
