New Macbook Air audio devices not appearing in Roon (ref#C47N2J)

Also i have already tried:

  1. restarting NUC
  2. restarting MacBook
  3. adding and readding roon.app to allowed local devices
  4. firewall is disabled

the macbook itself connects to NUC fine, but its audio devices are not present
