New ROCK Core setup trouble

Roon Core Machine

Just created a new ROCK Core
NUC I 3, 12 GB RAM, Samsung 960 Evo SSD

Description of Issue

Just created a new Core and am now at the connect a remote stage, both remote devices a phone and a tablet get to the logo screen and freeze.

They are both greater spec than required and both worked great with previous core. Any help greatly appreciated.

I assume that the new Core is a ROCK/NUC system? If so, then go to the Web Administration Interface and Reinstall Roon OS. That will pull in the latest build of Roon Server, which will resolve this glitch.

Dear god, how often. Can’t this be fixed by refreshing the ROCK installer and having the remote check the Core version in a compatible way before they try anything else (the latter will be necessary for Nucleus anyway). @connor you wrote weeks ago that Roon is looking into this but it’s going on and on and the first experience for new Nucleus owners (and ROCK) is crashing remotes and having to ask for help on the forum.

Thank you for the report @Anthony_Egglestone and please keep us posted on the resolution.
@Suedkiez, you’re correct that we’re resolving this internally, though clearly not with the urgency required to pull the thorn from our side. Allow me to sync internally and get a status update.
