New Touch 2 screen does not function normal on Pi5

Installed new pi Touch 2 on pi5 2gb. Startup screen and boot text showing ok.
When come on active Roon screen it is nog showing all, only the frame lines, no text or pictures.

Same screen on an pi4 installation: all ok and working.

Follow installation instructions and troubleshooting: restart roon server and all the rest (so it works on pi4)

Driver issue?

I assume you set the display’s “Roon Default Zone” in the Ropieee webui?

You might send feedback from the webui for harry to review?

I assume you attached the cable to the correct port?

From page 17 of the guide: https://ropieee.codexwilkes.com/downloads/ropieee-installation-guide.pdf

Yes,
All the boot text is showing, Roon screen also but without the text and pictures, only showing the square lines where in the picture supposed to be.

Yes, all the same steps as in the now working Pi4 setup
The small square you see, is normal showing the text that you have to select a Roon zone.

I would suggest sending feedback from the ropieee webui and post the code here so Harry can take a look.

Hi @Marc_Willems,
Can you confirm what @Nathan_Wilkes sugested: the display must be connected to “Disp 0”-port, otherwhise it will not work correctly (even if the startupscreen can still be OK).

Yes, I did.
I took all the steps by both a pi4 and pi5 setup. Both get working but pi5 shows in Roon no text and pictures only the square lines where in the picture should be.
Now I use the Touch2 with the pi4.

Hi @spockfish,
I can reproduce this issue on my rpi5 with touch display 2. On start up the pi does show a warning that the frame is not recognised: ” Unknown Frame: category 0x5, action 0x4.”. I sent feedback on d0915538f11d2c44.
Could you have a look?

Is it connected to the correct DSI port? And is this the latest 2025.06.1?

At boot, I get line that screen is recognised, see picture

I might still be on 2025.06.0 but will check later. It is on display 0 port.

Yes, port 1 does not work at all.

Isn’t port 0 what you need to use?
