New website and documentation

RoPieee began as a Roon-exclusive solution, naturally centralizing all communication on the Roon forum. A basic website provided external visibility, and @Nathan_Wilkes significantly improved the user experience by creating comprehensive documentation.

However, RoPieee has evolved beyond Roon-only support to include various streaming solutions. This expansion introduced users from outside the Roon ecosystem, who sometimes struggled to connect with me. Additionally, while Nathan’s work was invaluable, I felt it was an oversight that RoPieee lacked its own native documentation.

Therefore, as of today, we have launched a new (albeit simple) website and, more importantly, integrated proper native documentation. The website will serve for release announcements, making this information accessible to all users, including those outside the Roon ecosystem. I may also periodically publish blog posts on RoPieee-related topics.

The documentation is hosted on GitHub, which simplifies maintenance and expansion, and encourages community collaboration. Users can easily propose fixes for any documentation errors. GitHub will also be used for tracking issues, feature requests, and more.

Over the coming weeks, I will further expand the documentation to address a few remaining items.

Finally, I extend my sincere gratitude to @Nathan_Wilkes for his outstanding work over the past few years. I know for certain that his starting guide was instrumental in many new users’ positive initial experiences with RoPieee.

I hope you find these changes beneficial, even though they are still a work in progress. Your feedback is welcome of course!

Best regards,
Harry
