Please open your Roon Remote and select the "System Output" Zone and try to play to it. Do you encounter any playback errors with this Zone?
· I don't have a System Output available, but I'd like to keep troubleshooting
Please try fully rebooting your network equipment
· No, I'm still having trouble
An issue with playback on System Output and another zone often indicates a network security problem. *Check your firewall(s)* to ensure that *Roon*, *RoonServer *and *RAATServer* are allowed to properly communicate
· I'm still having problems / This isn't relevant to me
Does the issue happen with local library music, streaming service music, or both?
· Both local and streaming content are affected
Please try playing content of a lower sample rate (44.1kHz or 48kHz). Do you still have the same issue?
· Lowering the sample rate improves symptoms but I'm still having problems
What is the model/manufacturer of the affected audio device(s) and the connection type?
· Kind of explained that in the last answer. Roon Nucleus with ethernet from router, Aurender N200 with ethernet form router, USB cable to DAC, to pre-amp to power amp to speakers
Describe the issue
I have just hooked up my Roon Nucleus after a years absence. I have an Aurender N200 which is now Roon compatible. I have both the N200 and the Nucleus plugged into my router. Roon sees the N200 and I can select it and the music start and the N200 shows music playing in the Roon app, no problem. I just don't get the sound coming out from my speakers. When I switch back to the Aurender app the system plays fine. Has to be something simple. just not to me!
Describe your network setup
I have a Netgear CM10000V2 modem connected to a Netgear R6700AX router. Cable to modem, ethernet to router, One ethernet cable to the Aurender N200 then another ethernet cable to the Nucleus, with 19V dc powering the Nuclues. Then a USB cable from the N200 to my DAC, onto the amp and so on to the speakers,
And once I figure out the first problem, how do I access the music that’s on the hard drive that’s in the N200? Make in Roon a connection to your music on th Aurender
OK, I changed the output in the Aurender app to USB, then I also added the ip address to Roon app but now I have lost the N200 on the signal path display. It only shows SM-T220 and I don’t even know what that is? You can see that Roon is somehow acknowledging the N200 though, as you can see the Conductor app at the bottom of the Roon screenshot. Weird… I will keep playing around with it though, thank you!
OK, after hitting many buttons, clicking on this, clicking on that I finally got it playing on the N200, again, thank you for your help and guidance!
Could I trouble you a little more about accessing the hard drive in the N200? Is the screenshot attached here getting me to the right area?
Fantastic! I finally got the N200 hard drive added! I’m not much of a techie, so I struggled with issues outside of what you advised me on. Thank you for your help and patience. Coffees on me next time you’re around Ferndale, WA.
Long story short. I purchased the N200 with the idea of unsubscribing from Roon. 1 to save some money 2, to possible simplify things a bit. But, I struggled a bit the Conductor app so I thought I’d go back to Roon and try things out again. As you can see, I have struggled with it a bit. I’m back to a 14-day trial and will play with it as much as I can and decide whether to stick with it for the additional expense or go back the Conductor app.
All I want to do is to listen to music, but it seems I spend more time trying to make thing work and getting upset about it that actually listen to anything.
Thank again.
Paul
Setting up is always annoying. I personally find the Aurender app very user-unfriendly. Go for Roon and never look back and enjoy the music information that Roon offers.
OK, I have a full day off on Monday, I am going to sit down with my stereo, with the Roon app in hand, and try and go through all the functions to figure it all out. That’s my problem, I never have enough time to figure things out
