No Hi-Res on GustardA26

Santa brought Roon subscription.

Set up is LAN from router into Gustard A26 into a pair of active speakers. Qobuz only(Hi-Res when available). Via Bubble UPnP worked flawlesly.

With Roon…connects only via Airplay…no Hi-Res play. 44k only. Gustard support says, as a bridge, should connect directly and, as such, OK for Hi-Res. Told me to disable device and re-connect. No good.

Opened ticket. In the meantime, got 12 days to solve problem. Please help.

Welcome to the Roon Community, @Dimitar_Bidikov.

The Gustard isn’t a Roon Ready device and needs Roon Bridge to function.

The following thread may help you set it up to work with Roon.

The Gustard A26 has a Roon Bridge built in, according to Gustard. Was advised by them to disable the Airshare/Airplay device from menu, restart Roon and then the “right” Gustarender device will show in the Roon Audio menu, other than the USB. None of that happened. Roon allows only Airplay (and USB, which I dot want to use).

It puzzles me as to why such a “primitive” app. like Bubble UPnP plays the same Gustard Bridge flawlessly with Hi-Res and Roon, with all of its sophistication, will not allow it.

I guess I’ll choose Hi-Res over (some) sophistication.

9 days to decide. Waiting for Tech support to answer.

What pc is running the roonserver? Windows? If so turn off the firewall on the pc as a test. Does the m
Gustard show up in roons setting audio page? If so, turn firewall back on and add exceptions for roonserver, raatserver, snd roonappliance. Also verify your network is private and not public.

Router into Roon-Macmini6-1 into Gustard A26 LAN input at the other end.
