Has Roon “improved” the interface again or is it just me?
There used to be genre tabs at the top of this screen… now they are all jumbled together. And the filter at the top only filters on album titles or artist names…
Which version are you on?
I have Roon 2.0 build 1244… but it’s been “checking for an update” for the last hour or so…
Same issue solved here by making sure all devices have current Roon versions:

Nothing was removed. The new versions have the option to translate genres, so they have to be all up to date so that this works, else something gets confused and they disappear
it wasn’t removed then, it just wasn’t there… 
Yeah, because you hadn’t updated your devices. That’s not a use case that they should spend time on 
stable software was never a goal here…

I prefer they spend their time on something useful. One good thing would be to pop a version warning on all devices for sloppy users if a component version is not in sync with others.

sure, like this new feature that translates Jazz in English to Jazz in Romanian, I dont know how I lived without it. Was this ever on anyone’s wish list?
You might think differently if you were Chinese or listened to classical music as a German listener who isn’t used to English.
Look, you didn’t have your versions up to date, that’s all there really is to it.

My system was setup for auto updates. So it’s up to Roon why I didn’t have versions up to date.
I don’t understand why you need to defend Roon, you work there?
This is something acceptable from some small fringe operation that we all encourage because we like the product… not from mature software that we pay for, this just shouldn’t happen.
