No "Pause" button in Chromecast Shared Controls

I just upgraded from an Android 9 to an Android 14 phone. I also have an Android 10 tablet.

On my Pixel 8 Pro running Android 14 there is no longer a “Pause” button in the Chromecast Shared Controls. If I pause using any Roon Remote a “Play” button will appear, but after resuming play it doesn’t toggle back to a “Pause” button.

I can easily use Chromecast Shared Controls to toggle between “Play” and “Pause” on my previous Android 9 phone or on my Android 10 tablet. All my other media apps can toggle that way when casting.

This probably seems trivial to most people, but it was very convenient on my previous phone to simply grab it and press “Pause” without opening the Roon Remote app, especially when answering a call. The Roon app eats a lot of battery if left running, so I prefer not to do that.
