No playback. No audio zones

Description of Issue

I have lost playback. Roon indicates no audio devices found. There are no audio zones detected anymore. I go into settings, setup and run Find Roon OS and nothing is returned

You‘ve probably overlooked to fill in the support template with all relevant system detail minutiae, so it’s almost impossible for anyone to figure out your problem.

Please consider adding as much info as you can think of to provide something to work with, even if you think it’s irrelevant.

That said, the option to find Roon OS only works when you have a Roon nucleus or ROCK installed on a compatible NUC or other PC.

Hi @Michael_Wiley , to receive appropriate help, it would be really helpful if you could complete the template provided below.

You can copy and paste it in your reply.

Please be sure to include details of your core, network, storage location of your media files, and any messages displayed by Roon.

Including these details in your first post helps resolve your issues faster.

Thank you.

Roon Server Machine

Include your operating system and machine info (Model, CPU, RAM).

Networking Gear & Setup Details

Your networking gear (model of routers/switches/etc), connection types (Wifi/Ethernet), and any firewalls, antivirus, or VPN software.

Connected Audio Devices

Specify what devices you’re using and their connection types, like USB/HDMI/Chromecast, etc.

Number of Tracks in Library

Tell us how large your music library is, eg. “30,000 tracks”.

Description of Issue

Tell us about the problem you’re having in as much detail as possible. Screenshots are always appreciated!

These are the details that I know:
Server:
Sonic Transporter
4 core
4TB
Linux 5.6.13
Roon server 2.0 (build 1353)

Player:
MicroRendu

4TB disk using 2.4TB
Ethernet to server and player
USB from MicroRendu to Holo May DAC

Problem: after a few years of success, playback stopped working. Roon presents “Select an audio zone” and no zones are shown now. I go to settings and Audio and the DAC is not shown. All Ethernet and USB connections are solid.

No firewalls either. I’ve logged out of core and logged back in. Reset all the networking equipment. Rebooted everything.
Gone to settings and audio. Still no DAC shown in the list.
Can anyone assist? Meantime, I have to LMS for my music

Does Roon employee support staff monitor these support requests? I am unable to use Roon at this time

Have you rebooted the MicroRendu. And after that verified that it is working and double checked all the settings?

From your description, the issue, from here looks like, it is not responding to Roon’s discovery requests. This can happen due to firewalls, vpns, network segmentation where devices get changed to a different IP subnet range. OR, it could be that the endpoint itself is having issues.

Yes, I’ve rebooted everything and all the networking equipment

After rebooting this was also suggested

And after that verified that the Rendu is working, network accessible, and double checked all the settings?

Thank you the response. It’s been a minute since I had set this all up. The rendu had fallen off the network and I forgotten that the had to go into its settings to add the DAC again. All good now. Thanks again
