I recently started having issues with a RopieeeXL Roon endpoint. It runs on a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.1 with a HifiBerry DAC2 Pro HAT.
I don’t use it very often. It allows me to stream from Apple Music to a now vintage all in one Onkyo mini system through AirPlay.
I think the SD card was defective and it broke the Ropieee in a recent update. I only noticed it yesterday. Got a new SD card and reinstalled the latest version of Ropieee, 2023.11 (1179) [stable], and everything seems to run as it should, except anything streaming to AirPlay will not output sound. The DAC2 Pro will lock on an AirPlay source and my phone will show it playing, but zero sound output.
At first I thought it could be a hardware issue with the HAT but with a Roon source, it outputs audio as it should.
Any known bugs that could have broken AirPlay playback?
Looking at your logs I would say there’s something going on in your network: every time AP wants to read (over the network) something from a source the connection is being dropped.
It tries to reach 192.168.1.235, maybe that gives you a hint.
