Describe the issue

I am no longer producing sound out of my Aurender a1000 streamer. I can use Qobuz and Spotify through it but not Roon . The OS is playing the track but no sound is coming through even though it had been working fine until I reconnected my external drive and disrupted a file transfer to the internal installed SSD. Now- no audio sound.

Describe your network setup

Netgear nighthawk router/modem. Roon nucleus one is connected via Ethernet as is the Aurender a1000.

Hi @Brent_Gunderson,

Please share a screenshot of the Signal Path and playback bar when the Aurender is failing to output audio from Roon. Is this issue agnostic to the file format, sample rate, and bit-depth of the local content you’re attempting to play back?

If you have the name of a track that recently failed to play, please share it here. We’ve requested diagnostics from your RoonServer machine that will upload automatically the next time you open Roon.

As an aside, also verify that you’ve enabled local network access for RoonServer in MacOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local network access.

I managed to locate the issue by going back to MUSE in Roon and setting it back to default. Not sure what I did in MUSE other than set up the headphone EQ. May that have prevented sound? If I remember, I don’t think sound was coming through the headphones.

Hi @Brent_Gunderson,
We’re glad you were able to resolve this by resetting MUSE. It is possible that the EQ settings were hindering sound output. Do you have an y further issues or should this thread be marked as solved?
