No sound out of Roon ROCK from HDMI or USB

I built a Roon ROCK with the suggested hardware and it actually works quite well over my network.

However I have tried to play audio via HDMI and USB without success. I tried USB direct to my DAC and HDMI to my AV preamp.

I do not see any BIOS settings that should be changed for audio. In audio set up I see various Intel outputs but when enabled no output. Any feedback would be appreciated.

What is your DAC, and where have you been trying to use HDMI?

I use pseudo direct stream. ethernet connection to bridge II works fine. USB no sound. I tried hdmi into emotive a/v pre without success.
