Node N130 lost its Roon ready cert after a factory reset

HI

I had random network disconnections with my Node N130. After router reboot did not help, I did a factory reset on the Node. Now the network issue has been resolved but Roon only sees the N130 as a Roon-tested Airplay device.

How do I get the cert back? I tried reboots and a second factory reset. Will I have to wait for a new FW update to arrive to get the cert back?

Thanks

Probably same issue as in this thread

I got a response from their tech support. Both the random reboots and the Roon certification lost after factory reset are a resent FW bug. They’re now trying to remotely roll the FW back (asked me to reboot the device and then get its session id number). At least their support is good and responsive, unlike their firmware…

You can download the periods version of the firmware and load that. I did it with my powernode.

Thanks. From where exactly? They don’t keep FW files on their website. Only NAD does but it’s a different version.

This link will get you back to .25.
Format a usb pen drive in FAT32. Unzip the image file to it. Unplug power and network cables from the node and put usb stick in next to ethernet.
Put power in and press and hold play (red circle) until it goes green then red again, at which point you let go.
After a few seconds the light will pulse green and red whilst firmware is updated. Takes a few minutes.
