I have an M10 v1, and Power Node N130, and am quite happy with both. I have an older Node that does not support USB out, and I’ve never been please with the the sound via its analog outputs, or SPDIF into an outboard dac.
For those of you using the latest Node via USB, what is your experience with sound quality vs the other digital outputs?
The usb out has been somewhat problematic
yes, I’ve heard this is the case, but for those for whom it’s working, I’m curious about the SQ.
I thought, just in case.
I have found that music played from a HDD/SDD connected to my Powernode 2i, sounds much better than comparable music on Tidal streamed directly or through SPIDF connected to my Mac mini.
I use SPDIF and through a DDA (digital ditribution amplifier) fed into several DACs (to be able to compare). Works very well and sounds best IMHO.
