Not a conversation about audio gear but …

I’d love a small Roon display for me to be able to change tracks and read bios etc that isn’t connected to the internet. Is that possible? My enjoyment of music is greatly enhanced when I’m not doom scrolling on my phone or iPad but it’s so hard to break that habit and I end up chucking them out of arms length where I can’t then alter what is playing.

I’m not a DIYer unless it was really simple. Is there something like this? I hope to be a Nucleus user soon so could a ‘dumb ish’ display be connected to that?

You could always use a cheap Android tablet and remove non-Roon applications.

If that is not enough, then you may be able to add a firewall rule to your router to prevent outgoings connections to the internet from that device.

The combination would certainly prevent any casual web browsing and social media connections whilst still allowing the Roon client app to work.
