Currently playing music is heard but the display at the bottom says “Nothing Playing”.
After the problem occurs, selecting different tracks - wether from Tidel or Library via IOS or Mac running Mac OS 10.15.7 causes the display of currently playing music to continue to display “Nothing Playing”. This prevents skipping to the next track or even turning the music off.
Problem occurs on all devices at the same time, IOS & Mac. All Endpoints have the same problem, including USB connected to Rock and those connected through Ethernet to Mac.
Restarting the Roon Rock application on the NUC fixed the problem - no other restarts on IOS or Mac so this looks to me as an application issue with 1.8.
Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)
Roon Server Software
Version 1.8 (build 756) stable
Running Roon Rock - intel nuc. Wired Ethernet. USB connected to Mytek Manhattan.
Same issue for me too. 1.8 has killed the general performance and operation between my Esoteric N-05, SonicTranspot i5, and my MacBook Pro running the remote. A let-down lifetime member.
Dylan, any word on the issue. My entire digital streaming platform is unusable since 1.8. My main system is all connected via ethernet (SMG i5 core, Esoteric n-05, Macbook Pro remote) and nothing works. I have four endpoints and Roon currently only recognizes one (a Bluesound Soundbar). The play button does not work, cant pause when I do get something to play, album art of the album playing doesn’t register, phone app doesn’t connect to anything. Complete mess.
Will reinstalling to a Roon back up bring back 1.7?
