Really enjoying this debut album by British tenor saxophonist Emma Rawicz. Available on Tidal.
Glad you’re liking it, Sonny Stitt has some great tunes!
@TheRiz I need to spend more time hanging out in this thread. My jazz collection needs expanding. It’s nice to meet someone else who has broad musical tastes like me.
There is a lot to be gained in listening to jazz and its many forms, there are a lot of albums listed in this thread now too.
Yes, I like to bounce around genres from time to time
Took advantage of the Sound Liaison sale this week to pick up another three of their releases at what turned out to be half price. This single microphone recording sounds fantastic in DSD128.
Listening to some vinyl and really enjoying this late 1970s release:
Which just so happens to be available on Tidal and Qobuz:

Drizzly morning…often I’m more of a “the piano trio world ends at Bill Evans” kind of guy, and then I realize I’m just plain wrong. Like this morning.
I saw Bill Charlap at the Douglas Beach House a few years ago, and that kind of thing tells you it’s still going on.
Just listening to this fantastic new release from Charles Lloyd
Very different from the other “Trio of Trios” Records thanks to Zakir Hussains playing and singing, Julian Lage adds his brillant guitar playing. Not to forget the 5 star Sound Quality. Love it!
The holiday season is upon us so it’s time to post some of your favorite holiday themed jazz recordings. This one is one of my all time favorites and it’s available on both Tidal and Qobuz:
