How about we revise the above statement to something like:
When possible please state whether the album or recording is available on Qobuz, Tidal, Bandcamp or other download sites. Also please add the artist and album name as text - that makes it easier to look up compared to just a picture of the cover art.
Here’s an example of some very worthwhile jazz that is not available on Tidal or Qobuz and is not available on any “official” download site. It’s a “bootleg” recording that was shared with me by a fellow collector. First rate Mal in excellent sound quality.
Would Tangerine Dream count as fusion jazz? The thief soundtrack, along with a 78rpm record of count bassie, buddy rich, louis armstrong, and one other that I can’t remember right now is what turned me onto jazz.
This essential box set is just another reason why one’s local music files are needed to fill in the gaps left by the music streaming services, in other words, this set is not available on either Tidal or Qobuz.
