GREAT album
Definitely one of my favorite “retro soul” albums of all time, easily holds it’s own against the Daptone/Winehouse stuff imo.
He’s also one of the best live performers I’ve ever seen, a real showman with an incredibly tight band.

This just sounds so BIG. It could be released today with the production as it is and be a hit.
Nearly 40 years old !! Amazing. There are so many 70’s recordings that still sound so fresh today.
