Description of Issue

Working flawless until few months ago when needed to reboot; took much longer (45min-hr) to be recognized on network. Needed to unplug and reconnect Nucleus today (moving location of audio components slightly). I went to the IP address of the Nucleus on my Mac computer (192.168.7.79) and shut down by clicking on the icon power button (my software was completely up to date). When I plugged the Nucleus power supply back in, the power button did not light. pushed several times. Unplugged the unit for half hour and pushed/held the power button several times - no change. I decided to do the CMOS battery reset procedure. I opened the unit - first noticing that when plugged in, the green light on the motherboard was lit, and the small white power button on the motherboard also was lit. Unplugged the unit and the connectors/memory/motherboard/CMOS battery cable for 20 min. Replaced everything, making sure to reapply thermal paste to the motherboard cpu region. Same behavior- power light does not light up and no connection to the network. Green and white lights on motherboard continue to light up and light on the rear panel ethernet plug flicker when ethernet cord plugged in. I have a feeling the motherboard is the issue. Can you offer guidance to next steps? I’ll upload some pics.

Have you plugged in a monitor and keyboard and see what if anything appears on screen?

Yes. Nothing appears on the screen

This issue was brought up 5 days ago on this support topic thread:

https://community.roonlabs.com/t/re-nucleus-doesnt-connect-to-network-and-power-button-does-not-light/261956

I received word back from Benjamin on Friday 1/12/24 at Roon support that I would be contacted by the RMA team to send my Nucleus+ back to you for repair. I have not heard from the RMA team and have sent several messages since then. Please review the original support request and response and request the RMA team to contact me for details on sending the unit back for repair.
Thanks
Gary Weiner
