I'm having trouble with my Nucleus hardware

Last week Curaçao experienced a power outage. After the power came back on, my Roon Nucleus won’t turn on.

Can you access it via its web interface, @irvingschenker?

The On/Off button is very… ‘shy’ - a little tricky to determine whether it’s in or out: are you sure that your Nucleus is actually powered on again after the outage?

Hi @irvingschenker,

Ben with the support team here - let me know your current status and if you’re able to access the webUI @Mark_Sealey mentioned above (thank you for the helpful info Mark!)

If not, see if you can hook the Nucleus up to a monitor via HDMI, and share a screenshot of what you see on the display.

Thanks!

Hi Benjamin,

Thank you for reaching out to me. I appreciate it.

I’ve tried both options, and none of them worked.

First, I’ve connected the Nucleus to my LG C2-TV via HDMI.TH screen remained unchanged. Maybe I did do it the right way?

What is the meaning of “accessing the webUI”? Are you referring to the ROON or the ARC app on my smartphone?

I’d like to let you know that I’m a complete novice when it comes to this subject.

The Nucleus is disconnected, so I’ll wait for your instructions and connect it to my Wi-Fi/TV monitor tomorrow.

I didn’t wait until tomorrow because I was anxious to get Nucleus up and running again.
I reconnected via the webUI… and it’s still waiting for my ROON server.
The server is not active. No light tells you whether something is working or not. Moreover, there is no light on the power supply.

Hi @irvingschenker,

Is the Nucleus powered on and hardwired to your network when you attempt this?

Did you by chance click the link Mark shared above? This will give you all the info you need to access the webUI (you access it from a web browser on a computer and or mobile device):

The Web Interface can also be accessed by:

  1. Typing in the IP Address of the RoonOS Device in a Web Browser

  2. Typing the hostname, for example http://rock , http://nucleus , or http://nucleusplus

  3. Typing the .local suffix for the device, for example http://rock.local , http://nucleus.local , or http://nucleusplus.local

Hi Ben,
I apologize for the delay in reply.
I have attempted everything now. The Roon server doesn’t turn on. I’ll look for a new power supply this morning or find out if this is the problem. I will let you know when I have connected the new 19V power supply.

Hi Ben, Mark,
The culprit was the power supply. The Nucleus works again and my library is safe.
Thank you.
