Description of Issue

after power outage at house. the nucleus does not show up on the network. I’ve rebooted. it has worked fine for over year, always showing up. I think that it may of been damaged by a power surge. the power button lights and also the network lights work but I have no way of connecting to it.

Can you attach a monitor or a TV to the HDMI connector of the Nucleus and post a photo of any messages that you get on the screen? Thanks

Hi Geoff,

Thank you for reaching out. It looks like a bad ethernet cable. when I went to connect to the TV with other cables (HDMI and ethernet from TV) it came up on our network. Weird that the ethernet cable went bad? I hope it is fact the ethernet cable!

Thanks again for you help. I didn’t know that you could connect directly to a tv via HDMI.

The HDMI connection is usually used to pass multichannel audio to AVR receivers, the video is just for diagnostic messages.
