Nucleus+ not seen in Windows 11 Explorer

Right in the middle of ripping a stack of CD’s, Windows 11 Explorer quit recognizing my Nucleus+ server for storing ripped CD’s on. I reinstalled & rebooted the Roon operating system, my desktop computer and my router all to no avail. My ASUS router shows the IP address of the Nucleus+. Typing the IP address into Windows Explorer did not solve the problem. Going to Control Panel to turn windows features off and on & then enabling SMB 1.0/CIFS file sharing did not work. My Nucleus+ is recognized by Roon Remote but for some reason is not now recognized by Windows Explorer although it was recognizing before.

I have an ethernet connected home network which plays ripped CD’s stored on an 8 TB SSD on my Nucleus+. Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this problem?

It’s a puzzle - entering \\<Nucleus+ IP Address>\ into Windows Explorer should work. Have you tried entering \\nucleusplus\ ? Does this also fail?

You should not need to enable SMB v1 in Windows - Roon OS supports SMB v2. I wonder if Windows has disabled guest access (possibly during a recent Windows Update??)? See:

I hope that you are not ripping the CDs directly to Nucleus storage without first stopping the Roon Server of the Nucleus+? Ripping directly whilst the Roon Server is running runs the risk of Roon failing to identify albums properly.
