The Nucleus HDMI output can provide very useful diagnostic information. This process will involve connecting the Nucleus via HDMI to a TV or monitor and then checking to see what is being displayed.
· Yes, I am willing to try the HDMI test
On the Nucleus HDMI output, what do you see?
· "Roon OS Web UI can be directly accessed at [https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/](https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/)" and the address is NOT http://169.254.XX.YY/
In the Roon app, please try to click on the "Select a different Roon Server" button. Are you able to reconnect to Nucleus from the list?

Describe the issue
I can open the Nucleus One web configuration page; I can access music storage on the device; but Roon App on the same machine will not connect. After a reboot the Nucleus One will appear for a minute while "connecting" and then disappear.
Thank you for your post. Our diagnostic servers can reach the Nucleus One without issue and it shows no signs of corruption or hardware failure.
What we do see is a familiar pattern of forced disconnection to the Mac clients. This is very likely a consequence of the tighter network security features included with MacOS 15.x Sequoia.
On your Mac devices that you use with Roon, navigate to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network and verify that RoonServer has network access.
If you continue to have issues, please share a brief overview of your network topology, including any managed switches. Thank you!
Comcast provides internet access for the building with wired connection to Eero box in my unit that provides wireless and via a 5 port NetGear Switch wired connections to several devices including the Nucleus One and the Mac Mini where I’m trying to run Roon. It’s true that it worked fine until the Sequoia 15.2 update. But both Roon and Roon Server are listed under Privacy & Security > Local Network with access turned on.
What happens if you toggle that ‘Allow’ setting off, then on again? Some users have found that such an extra step is necessary - as may be restarting the Roon server (from the web interface).
Mark,
I had restarted the Roon server from the web interface without success. I had not taken the simpler step of toggling the ‘Allow’ setting - which, amazingly, did the trick. Thank you!
