· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices
Describe the issue
Hello,
I have just bought the Nucleus One from you and have a question. I don't know if you can answer it. Perhaps you can also forward it to the relevant hotline, I didn't know exactly who to contact.
The issue is that no other storage locations are shown to me in Roon App, in particular my MacBook, although it is connected to my local network. Until now I had Roon running on the MacBookPro as Core. Now, after getting the nucleus, I have set up Roon again (no backup and no move). I transferred the music files from my external hard disk to the Nucleus One Chorus via track and drop, after I had initially installed an internal SSD hard disk there. When I now open the Roon app, I thought that the MacBook would also be displayed under Storage location so that I can navigate to the music folder on my MacBook hard disk, but the MacBook is not displayed. Nor a hard disk connected to the MacBook or the internal file folder, no path is displayed at all. Do I have to do this via the network share? If so, where can I find instructions on how to do this?
Thank you for your feedback. Yours sincerely, Jörg Blum [moderated: private address and phone number removed] Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
You need to share the folder on the Mac first, so that it is announced on the network.
Ok, but where can I enter the path. I opened “Speicherorte”, then I click on + Ordner hinzufügen, but then the next window is “select this folder” but there is no folder shown, or the other window enter + “share network”, and when I choose this one, next window asks not only for path but also for username, password workgroup, and e.g. the path to may MacBook is my IP Adress? and then? \123.123.0.123/Users/username/Music/Music/Media.localized. Thanks for an answer. P.S. the folder music is a shared folder
Hi @Jorg_Blum,
Great we’re glad you’re able to access your MacBook storage from your Nucleus now! I’ll mark this as solved. It’ll remain open for a couple of more days in case the problem returns.
