I have a nucleus one. I can get my WDMYCLOUD library in Roon. I've tried it with my windows pc, Mac pc and Iphone. I can entry my Nas with all pc's and and checked my path. It works perfect with sonos and Bluesound. There the libary is added perfectly. Roon says Could not connect to networkshare , host not found. My JRiver on windows 10 pc works also fine. The WD nas is visable in my Deco mesh network and all have a fixed ip. I used before the Nuc One a Mrock and a Macbook as a roon core and there was no problem at all. I've tried everything ( Also SMb 1 etc..) Help....
Describe your network setup
Mesh network X50 tplink/deco , WDMYCLOUD 4 tb ,Nucleus one. All Wired with fixed ip
Doesn’t work , tried already. Gives than “unexpected Error” . I’m out of options. I’ve had no issue at all with a Mrock rooncore or with my macbook as rooncore. Al other systems ( Jriver,Sonos and Bluesound) have no problems with the same network path
Thanks for writing in and sharing your report, sorry to hear you’re having issues establishing a network share with your Nucleus.
Based on your account information, we’re not currently seeing a Nucleus tied to your account - could you please use the directions found here and send over a set of Nucleus logs to our File Uploader?
With that, can you please log into your WD MyCloud dashboard, navigate to Settings > Network, and ensure SMB 2.0 or 3.0 is enabled?
What happens if you test our using ‘guest’ for username and leave the password blank?
It may also be worth testing out setting a Static IP for the MyCloud device via your router settings.
Thx for your help benjamin. Wd Mycloud has a static ip and smb 2.0 and 3.0 enabled. I just installed the nucleus one. I’ve tried Guest but doesn’t work. Send the logs with the file uploader
Looks like you sent over a set of logs from your Mac, not the Nucleus. Let me know if you’re able to send over a set of Roon Server logs and we’ll take a closer look.
It looks like you’ve now sent over a set of Roon mobile logs from your mobile device.
I’m curious - since we’re not seeing your Nucleus tied to your account, and it seems like you may not have access to Nucleus logs, how is the machine connected to your router?
Can you please set up a direct ethernet connetion from your Nucleus to your primary router, bypassing all network gear?
With that, can you also attempt to access the webUI of your Nucleus? Here’s more info:
The nucleus one is connected to the main node of my mesh network. I’ve solved the problem by rebooting the main node/router. Now Roon is “connected” to the wdmycloud. Thx for all your support and thx to Geoff for blurring my email😀
