I own the Roon Nucleus Rev B purchased Q2 of 2023. As it appears and to the best of my knowledge it is built around the Intel i3 CPU. That said, I am hoping Roon support would be so kind to advise and assist in in educating me on the following, (1) What generation Intel i3 CPU is being used and spec information; (2) Does it support and stream DSD 64, 128, 256 and 512; (3) When was Nucleus Rev B introduced to the consumer; (4) Does it have the 64GB or 128GB boot drive; and (5) The performance of the SSD for random reads and writes? I would like to thank Roon support in advance for their kind assistance in helping answer the foregoing questions.
They don’t necessarily read her in Roon Software Discussion, jsut in Support
Shouldn’t be a problem as long as you don’t do heavy DSP, upsampling, etc. Remember that it’s based on Linux, and some DACs seem to do higher DSD rates only with special Windows drivers.
Several years ago, don’t know for sure
Don’t know but you will never get close to filling 64 GB anyway. I’m using 2% of a 256 GB drive with ~50,000 tracks in the database
Doesn’t matter much, I think, because during operation the database is entirely in RAM
