I recently took advantage of the Roon 11 year offer and bought the Nucleus Titan. I must say that I am astonished at the improvement in performance both at home and while out using Arc.
It was a bit of a faff setting it up and transferring my music files took hours despite there only being 700GB. I’d customised my setup and added custom artwork to many albums and I hit a few snags importing my library, which I eventually overcame without having to fix anything.
I was previously running Roon Server on a Synology NAS which also housed my local library. When I bought the Titan I added a 4TB SSD and moved my music to the Titan.
I have no lag now, no missing artwork when I’m out and I’m so pleased with my purchase!
Now just to explain the cost of the purchase to my other half
Toasters aside, having spent ££££ on Sooloos hardware I’d not go down that route again … especially as I’m quite comfortable maintaining my own computing and network equipment.
I came from a first gen Nucleus Plus RevA to my Titan. I love mine!
What insert(s) did you choose? I went with stone so far. I planned to grab the other two, but I am enjoying the stone so much, I have been dragging my feet.
