Nucleus with Apple Music?

If I decided to try Apple Music , would I be able to merge my music that I own that’s stored on the SSD from the Nucleus ?

Can your Mac see the files stored on the Nucleus SSD?

If so, then you should be able to import into the macOS Music app (formerly iTunes).

If you don’t have a Mac then the answer to your question is no…

Thanks yes using a Mac and can see the SSD located on the Nucleus. However when I try to play a file Music seems to be importing it to my Mac. I was try to just stream my local music via Music.

It’s a setting in Apple Music that you can change. Check preferences → Files and uncheck the option to copy music files to your apple music directory.

Thanks I’ll try that.

Hello everybody from France,
Please a little advice, I have the data nucleus on my Finder on how to set Apple Music to be able to read Nucleus files on Apple Music?
I did this but it doesn’t work.

You are trying to add the Nucleus’s folder as if it were a local folder on the Mac. However, this is not what it is - it is on the Nucleus and only accessible over the network.

I don’t know if this works but you could try mounting the Nucleus’s storage on the Mac with SMB (the network file access protocol) as described here under “SMB Connection (Alternate Option)”:

This makes the Nucleus’s folder accessible in Finder on the Mac, and then you might be able to access this folder from the Apple Music configuration as well - I don’t know if Apple Music can do that.

NOTE: I also don’t know if Apple Music modifies the storage that it accesses this way. Make sure that it doesn’t mess with your Nucleus folder.
